Basil ice cream

Some lucky people have so much basil growing in their gardens, that after making pesto, tomato basil salads, and more pesto, they still have more basil left over. I am not one of those lucky people. But I'm lucky to have friends who have such green thumbs!



My friend Katharine brought over a fragrant bouquet of basil. Naturally, I made it into ice cream! With it's minty color and calming flavor, it was a big hit at the last tasting party. Who knew that this was the flavor DC always wanted to try?
